Vaccinations can help protect you from becoming seriously ill or even needing hospital treatment.

This winter, the flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available to the following people but please check with your GP if you are unsure if you are eligible:

*Carers are defined as: those who are eligible for a carer’s allowance, or those who are the sole or primary carer of an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill.

Other vaccinations:

You may also be eligible for other vaccinations to help protect against serious illnesses that are more common in winter, including pneumonia::

  • pneumococcal vaccine (if you’re aged 65 or over)
  • RSV vaccine (if you’re pregnant; if you’re aged 75 – 79; if you turned 80 on or after 1 September 2024, you’re eligible for the vaccine until 31 August 2025).
