The partners at The Forest Practice in Hyson Green, Nottingham, have taken the decision to serve notice on their GP contract and stop providing GP services at the Practice at the end of October 2024.
There is capacity for more patients at other nearby practices, so NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is currently working through plans to ensure patients registered at the Practice continue to have good access to GP services in their local area. This means that we will be allocating patients to another GP practice, closest to their home address.
Once the process has been finalised, patients will receive another letter by 4 September 2024 outlining details of the GP practice they have been allocated to and how they can access GP services.
In the meantime, patients do not need to take any action and can continue to contact The Forest Practice for their healthcare needs.
If patients are not satisfied with their new practice, they will have the opportunity to register with an alternative practice, provided it covers the area they live in. Patients are requested not to register at a different practice until the transfer process has been completed.
