Volunteer with us
It is essential that the voices of women, birthing people and their families are included in the development and improvement of maternity and neonatal care in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
We’re looking for people who are passionate about helping improve Maternity and Neonatal care. If you’re a recent parent, birth partner, or someone with lived experience of using local maternity or neonatal services — we’d love to hear from you. To volunteer, you must have used these services in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire.
If you’d like to find out more about the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) and how you can volunteer with us, please get in touch by emailing us at

Join us and help ensure that maternity services reflect the real experiences, needs, and voices of families in our area.

“I started being a volunteer for MNVP a year or so after my twins were born. I really wanted to share families experiences of their maternity journey, especially on the Neonatal and twin front. I’m really proud to be the Volunteer Champion and have gained so much experience with building relationships and speaking to new people – so much so that I’m looking to for a career change to go more towards helping people where I can”

Guidance to complete the form
We ask a few personal questions to help us get to know you better.
We also ask for your contact details so we can stay in touch with you about any projects you’ve shown interest in, as well as other opportunities you might like to be part of across different services and organisations.
We’ll also ask about your lived experience and the types of opportunities you might be interested in. This helps us let you know about projects or groups that could be a good match for you.
We’ll also ask: Is there anything you need to help you feel safe or comfortable?
This is so you can let us know if there’s anything that would help you take part in a meeting or make the experience more positive for you. For example, you might want:
- The room not to be too hot or too cold
- To speak in your own time without pressure or being put on the spot
- Paper and pens available
We may not always be able to do everything, but we’ll do our best to support you.
Your voice matters—and we want to make it as easy and positive as possible for you to be involved.
