Eligible members of the public will be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine at a pop-up clinic in Sneinton.
On Tuesday, 12 December, the public will be able to get free COVID-19 vaccinations at The Greenwood Community Centre from 10am-2pm.
Trained NHS staff will be vaccinating eligible members of the public and answering any questions about the vaccination. Everyone who is eligible is being urged to pop down and get protected.
Julia Rosevear, COVID Vaccination Locality Manager, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for people living in Sneinton and the surrounding areas to get protected ahead of the Christmas period.
“We will be at the community centre from 10am-2pm administering vaccines to everyone who is eligible, and you will not need an appointment. Our friendly team of staff will also be able to help with answering any questions or concerns on the day.
“We are encouraging people who are over 65 or at very high risk to come down as a priority. This includes people who are immunosuppressed or people who have long term health conditions. The best thing you can do to avoid serious illness and hospitalisation is to make sure you are up to date with your covid and flu jabs this winter, it is not too late to get protected.”
Anyone who is eligible is encouraged to come forward and get vaccinated ahead of the winter period when illnesses circulate. Eligible members of the public include:
The offer of a free COVID-19 vaccination will run out soon, so the public are being encouraged to book their appointments or attend a walk in clinic before 15 December. If you need any more information about eligibility, please visit the NHS website.
