Residents in Newark will be able to grab a Covid-19 jab and get health and wellbeing advice this weekend without an appointment.
The NHS Covid-19 vaccination team will be hosting a pop-up clinic in the car park of Northgate Retail Park in Newark on Saturday (10 December) from 10am-4pm.
The NHS will be offering first, second and Autumn Booster jabs to all eligible residents aged 16 and over from a mobile clinic.
The Health and wellbeing team will also be available to answer any vaccination related questions, give health and wellbeing advice, signpost to local services and listen to any concerns.
Julia Rosevear, Vaccination Service Locality Manager for the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, said: “We will be at Northgate Retail Park on Saturday to offer vaccinations and answer any questions from the public. It will be a chance to get your immunity topped up ahead of the Christmas period when we know nasty illnesses spread quickly.
“The Covid-19 Autumn Booster vaccine is being offered to the most vulnerable people in our communities to help keep their immunity topped up against the virus. The teams will also be able to give first and second doses for anyone who is yet to come forward.
“It is never too late to get vaccinated so I would encourage anyone interested to pop down and have a chat with our friendly team.”
Anyone aged 50 and over, carers aged 16 or over, people with underlying health conditions, frontline health and social care staff and pregnant women are all eligible for an Autumn Booster.
Anyone aged 16 and over is eligible for a first, second and booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccination.
The mobile clinic will be situation inside the carpark of Newark Northgate Retail Park from 10am-4pm on Saturday (10 December) and everyone is welcome to turn up and have a chat.
